NBA News: Kanter out 4-6 weeks for knee surgery

Thunder center Enes Kanter has experienced arthroscopic surgery to his left side knee and will come back to typical offseason work in 4-6 weeks.

The group made the declaration Wednesday, calling it a fruitful procedure

Kanter, who was procured on Feb. 19 from the Utah Jazz, started all 26 games after the deal and averaged 18.7 points and 11.0 rebounds while shooting 57 percent from the field. He also played through soreness in his left ankle late in the season. He was a key patron to the Thunder's 45-37 completion after Serge Ibaka went down with what turned out to be season-ending surgery on his right knee.

Generally speaking, the fourth-year focus played in 75 recreations with Utah and Oklahoma City, averaging 15.5 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest, both career highs.
