EPL News: Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard to get accolades at PFA awards


Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard will be regarded for their commitments to English football by the Professional Footballers' Association at the weekend, the Daily Mail has reported.

Gerrard leaves Liverpool, the club where he has spent his whole profession, to join MLS outfit LA Galaxy in the late spring.

Lampard, who has played for West Ham, Chelsea and Manchester City, moves to New York City FC.

The commitments made by the previous England worldwide midfielders will be perceived by the footballers' union at its yearly grants service in London.

Gerrard and Lampard have won 19 noteworthy trophies between them, including two Champions League wins, and have a joint aggregate of 220 worldwide tops.

Gerrard, who made his England make a big appearance in 2000, played in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Cups and was skipper for the last two of those.

In 2012, he turned into the 6th England player to win 100 tops yet called time on his worldwide profession in July 2014 in the wake of accumulating 114 appearances.

Lampard won his first England top in 1999 and went ahead to turn into the eighth English player to gain 100, with the historic point arriving in a World Cup qualifier against Ukraine in 2013. He resigned from global football in August.
